Acidulated soy bean

General Description

It comes from the soybean oil extraction industry for human consumption. Its high linoleic acid content makes it ideal for use in animal concentrates.

Use

The use of any unsaturated lipid in animals close to slaughter should be approached with caution due to its negative effect on the lipid composition of the carcass. Care should be taken when including it in amounts greater than 1-2% in ruminants due to its negative effect on ruminal fermentation. High levels of inclusion in the formulation can cause problems with
product pelletization.
