Molasses
General Description
Molasses is a dense and viscous liquid, a by-product of the sugar production process. It has a characteristic sweet smell and is free from off-flavors. It contains a high level of carbohydrates and minerals such as iron, copper, and magnesium, which is why it is added as a nutritional supplement.
Use
It is commonly used in balanced animal feed, as its high energy level and palatability help improve feed intake across different species.
